Don’t get yourself distracted by the title: this post is more than a post about personal success, or anything about bragging.

Let me say this up front, as you probably should know that going from zero to a million is not something that stumbles upon you overnight.

Starting an internet marketing company or any business online takes hard work following proven and worthwhile systems, patience and perseverance.

I can bet that this is your style, and that is why you are here. So read on.

Let me not waste your time. I hope I got your attention to stay with me for 2 more minutes.

If you are new to internet marketing or any business online, even if you are a seasoned internet marketer, at time, reading an amazing write-up about 20 lessons for starting an internet marketing agency, and this, from a successful company like MOZ, is a breath of fresh air.

Mike Ramsey owner of Nifty Marketing posted on MOZ’s Business Practices category, an awesome article, just as the title of the post you are reading now: “From Zero to a Million: 20 Lessons for Starting an Internet Marketing Agency“.

This article, as Mike rightly put it out in a disclaimer, “is not a post about how awesome I am, or how there is only one way to build an internet MARKETING agency. It’s a combination of stories and thoughts about what I have gone through building Nifty Marketing.”

This post of me needs to be short, so that you can go and read these 20 lessons for starting an internet marketing company and share here what you’ve picked as your best lessons. But, before you go, here are six tips that felt right on the spot for me and my online businesses:

Lesson 13: Never stop learning new things

I really encourage you to read what called a “content-focus and no string attached” article, even if you are not in building an internet marketing agency niche. I am not too. Maybe I should. But if you are like me, such post will spin something in your head and boost your creativity.

At the very least, you will know that internet marketing is a legit business not a scam, and people just like you are making good money online.

But.

You will need to make sure you are not wasting your time with some gimmick that is not working, or won’t last long. If however, what you are doing is working for you, and won’t get you in trouble, so keep it, improve it and scale it.
